Lead Electrical and Instrument Technician / UAE

Our client - a Oil & Gas Operating Company is looking for a position of Lead E&I Technician.

Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities)

Supervise the electrical and instrument technician on maintenance activities across the plant and Gas Control Station (GCS) assets.

Receive and review incoming work requests, and transform it into maintenance requirements such as man-hours, skill-levels, materials, tools and equipment needed and criticality.

Perform technical planning, coordination, scheduling, and safe hands-on implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance activities - -- - including urgent repairs to ensure uninterrupted gas delivery associated with:

Field Instrumentation devices, pressure, temperature, flow, analysis, and position.

b. Actuated and automatic valves.

c. Fire, Gas, and security detection equipment.

Controls, controllers, and control room monitoring, alarm, and control devices.

Large rotating equipment (Turbo Expander - Compressor) with integrated monitoring and control systems including magnetic bearing technology.

Electrical power systems including generators, 3.3 KV and 400 volt switchgear, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and batteries, air compressors and driers, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) supplies and controls, and area lighting.

Maintenance of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Emergency Shutdown Valve (ESD) Valve, inspection of HP Arms insulation joints, hydraulic control systems, and mooring system load cells.

Maintenance of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) gas loading/unloading arms as per Society of International Gas Tanker and Terminal Operators (SIGTTO) guidelines, maritime mooring systems and transfer systems, including hydraulic control systems, load cells, fixed crane, gangway.

Liaise with third party equipment vendors.

Ensure planned preventive maintenance procedures are in place, fit for service, and implemented.

Monitor, coordinate or supervise contractor activities and provides project support for testing, inspection, and commissioning of projects

Participate in or carry out troubleshooting of complex and routine faults as required: assist with the analysis, diagnosis and solution of problems relating to Electrical and Instrument equipment and systems in a logical and effective manner. Such diagnostics may be performed in cooperation with the System engineer.

Provide information to the Maintenance Electrical and Instrument Supervisor for daily and weekly report updates.

Assist the Electrical and Instrument Supervisor with the implementation of performance improvement measures.

Educational Qualifications:

University degree or equivalent certificate in an instrumentation/electronics discipline.

Experience Profile:

8 - 10 years performing maintenance in an operating oil or gas facility:

Relevant experience working with gas compressors, air compressors, field instruments, control valves, control equipment, vibration monitoring equipment, generators and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and small power distribution.

Relevant experience with fault finding, disassembly, overhaul and repair, reassembly and testing of valve actuators.

Relevant experience in performing failure and root cause analysis and incident investigation.

Practical and on the job electrical experience.

Relevant experience with computerized maintenance management system, ideally Oracle.
