Our client is currently seeking a Supply Chain Analyst for a permanent position based in Calgary, Ab.

Summary

Responsible for processing all material and service requests from production business into SAP Requisitions and making sure all orders are received by the vendor. Able to record and organize electronic files and follow predetermined procedures for same.
Ensures technical requirements are met and constraints are appreciated as well as serving ‘gate keeping’ function for value centric operational efficiency/effectiveness focus areas such as inventory utilization and SAP Master Data quality.
Role is key link between supply chain and operations with many continuous improvement opportunities for the right individual to make a significant difference to progress end to end delivery.
Must have the ability to work independently while identifying potential process improvements.

Job Description

Receive and prioritize all material order sheets
Shop all material line items for SAP Material Master Records (MMRs), maximize use of MMRs - Target 80%
Reserve Inventory Items
Use MMRs to requisition direct charge items
Identify need for new MMRs and stock items
Build new MMRs – Ensure MMR From correctly populated and submitted
Obtain approvals in accordance with guidelines for new stock items
Update material master data in MMRs as needed
Suggest new items that can be attached to SAP Bill of Materials (BOMs)
Obtain technical approval to add MMRs to SAP BOMs, then update SAP BOMs
Accurately enter material requisitions in SAP
Obtain material quotes and specifications from vendors as required
Facilitate requisition and PO releases
Validate vendors have received material POs
Validate SAP Vendor Outline Agreement (OA) linkage and raise actions to appropriate party
Assist MM and Production Maintenance/Ops with expediting materials (stock and direct charge)

Qualifications

Minimum five years’ experience in supply chain, materials management, procurement, inventory control or related field
Proven organization skills, including the ability to gather clear business requirements.
Proven ability to follow business process
Proven experience working with Excel and developing and maintaining various analyses and reporting tools.
Knowledge working with vendors related to purchase orders
Business analysis experience is preferred
Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry a plus
Understanding of transactional procurement processes Education
College degree in business or related field preferred Equivalent work experience considered
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
Skill in ERP Systems / SAP preferred (Procurement, RtP, PM, MM SAP Modules)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including email / document writing skills • Good organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma Work Requirements
May be required to travel overnight 1-3 times per year.
