Shift Engineering Manager – Leicestershire - £45,000 - £47,000 – Day Shift

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a leading manufacturing company who are now looking for a Shift Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

As the Shift Engineering Manager, you will have full engineering and maintenance responsibility for the site whilst being heavily involved in projects, leading change and managing a team of around 20.

Key duties of the role will involve

• Plan, coordinate and manage all engineering and maintenance activities on site
• Oversee maintenance and construction schedules, including plant preventative maintenance schedules
• Involvement in project work
• Maintenance Planning
• Managing contractors on site
• Planning of plant shuts downs
• Responsible for maintenance costs and budget

 Essential requirements for the role

• Degree or HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
• Experience of managing a team
• Experience of managing maintenance costs and budgets
• Continuous Improvement/5S
• Knowledge of CMMS systems
• CAPEX experience
• Experienced in PPM schedules
• Knowledge of SCADA control systems
• Experience of working in a Heavy Manufacturing environment
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualified
