Role: Supply Chain Manager - Highways

Location: Corporate role, operating across multiple locations

Are you an experienced Supply Chain Manager who has led the Procurement capability across a Highways Business? Are you looking for an opportunity to work closely with senior leadership to deliver strategic procurement initiatives? Then a role within this award winning business could be for you.

My client is looking to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Manager to identify and implement value-added procurement agreements and initiatives across multiple Contracts. Reporting into the Operations Director you will play a critical role in the Procurement function across the business.

Your duties will include:

  • Working with Contract Directors and Commercial Managers to develop and implement a procurement strategy.
  • Challenge suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to identify and deliver value engineering projects.
  • Manage and create framework agreements.
  • Develop, implement and manage electronic procurement catalogues.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of procurement.
  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
  • Develop and maintain supply chain relationships.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and influence decision makers.

Ideal Qualifications include:

  • Practical and theoretical experience of full procurement lifecycle.
  • Subcontract and Professional Services procurement experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Experienced negotiator with strong influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Effective time management and prioritisation.
  • IT skills: proficiency in excel, Project Accounting, Microsoft Dynamics beneficial.
  • Comfortable working in a UK wide role with extensive travel between Contracts.

This is a Corporate role that will involve travel.
