Business Analyst – 2 years + Month – Farnborough

Business Analyst ESSENTIAL:-  Oil & Gas background. Setup & use of  BI/DS tools, Agile, 5+ years industry experience, developing data products &/or analytics solutions (business intelligence & data warehousing, data science). Proficient with SSIS, TIBCO Spotfire, PowerBI or similar visualization technologies.  Programming languages / scripting tools (Java, Python, R, C, Spark).  Developing process automation solutions using UIPath. Strong SQL skills & solid understanding of database concepts.  Ability to analyse large amounts of raw data & summarize into clear, accurate, meaningful, value-added reports & analysis. Data Extract, Load & transformation technics & tools.

Business Analyst Responsibilities/Service Scope:

• Build reporting & process automation solutions for all project teams in FGP
• Understand the business use of data to support work processes & strategic business objectives. Leverage data, analytics & data science techniques to create business value through solution delivery &/or self-service enablement.
• Identifies, acquires, & cleanses/prepares/transforms data in alignment with defined data architecture patterns, reusability principles & business value objectives
• Collaborates with business teams to identify, build & integrate advanced analytics models into solutions
• Responsible for entire reporting lifecycle including requirements gathering, report design, development, & deployment
• Provides training & support to project teams in the setup & use of  BI/DS tools
• Uses an Agile approach (part of a scrum team) to develop & deploy BI/DS solutions
• Develops & conducts complex data validation & reconciliation to ensure data integrity, accuracy & completeness for operational purposes
• Standardizes data collection by developing methods for database design & validation reports.

Business Analyst Required Skills :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Statistics or a business major
• 5+ years industry experience, developing data products &/or analytics solutions (business intelligence & data warehousing, data science)
• Proficient with SSIS, TIBCO Spotfire, PowerBI or similar visualization technologies
• Experience with programming languages / scripting tools (Java, Python, R, C, Spark)
• Experience in developing process automation solutions using UIPath
• Strong SQL skills & solid understanding of database concepts
• Understanding of relational & dimensional data models.
• Ability to analyse large amounts of raw data & summarize into clear, accurate, meaningful, value-added reports & analysis
• Experience in Data Extract, Load & transformation technics & tools
• Knowledge of techniques & tools that promote effective analysis, determine the root cause of problems & create alternative solutions to solve them in the best interest of the business.
• Capable of working within a diverse, global workforce that is consumer oriented.
• Strong Facilitation, Presentation & Communication skills.

Business Analyst Preferred Skills:

• Experience working on other digital technology solutions e.g. Virtual Reality, Drones, RFId, IIOT etc. is a plus
• Experience working in Oil & Gas projects is a plus
