Team Leader Roads Technical Assistance / Institutional Capacity Building - Eastern Europe

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced international Team Leader for a Roads Technical Assistance / Institutional Capacity Building scheme in Eastern Europe as part of major regional improvements involving numerous countries.

Opportunity:

My client is leading International consultancy firm who shall be working towards facilitating the restructuring and modernisation of the Road network in the Balkans regions including such countries as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova & Ukraine. The scheme is being funded by major International Financial Institutions such as the World Bank.

Responsibilities on the project:

The Team Leader shall be responsible for leading an International Team of both regionally and overseas based experts advising, implementing and executing the improvement scheme.

The successful individual shall be responsible for liaising between road companies / institutions / departments, etc. and administering the FIDIC contract conditions.

This is a long term position to join an on-going project.

Key requirements for the role:

• Degree qualified in civil engineering or equivalent.
• 20+ years professional working experience
• Preferably 15+ years of experience in technical assistance and/or design and/or supervision and/or construction of road infrastructure projects.
• 4+ technical assistance assignments for road companies/institutions/departments as project manager/team leader.
• 2+ projects including institutional capacity building project(s) for road companies / institutions / departments, etc.
• Previous FIDIC and Donor Funded (i.e. World Bank)
• Broad international experience and experience in NIF countries is required.

Fluent in English

Salary Package:

The salary on offer is flexible but would be expected to be around €10,000
