Design Manager - Dams and Hydropower (on-site)

Working with major developer, my client is urgently seeking Design Manager for large scale Dam and Hydropower project in Pakistan. The project involves construction of tall Dam (100m+) and large powerhouse (500MW +)

You will support the construction team and make sure that the detailed designs are delivered have been through a thorough process and can be achieved according to specifications.

What is my client looking for:

• Engineering degree (probably civil) and experience from several hydropower construction projects.
• Engineering/design work - possibly from leading consulting companies.
• Strong communication skills

The core deliverables for the Technical Design Manager role will be:

• Ensure that the designs and drawings meet our quality standards and are managed properly and in time.
• Routinely assess the engineered solutions to verify constructability ahead of implementation - ensure that missing pieces, glitches and oversights are identified and assessed/corrected.
• QA of all as-built documentation.
• Coordinate the works with the designer(s) and reviewers.
• Support Construction Manager and team as well as Project Director and other managers in the project team on issues relating to technical solutions and documentation.

Salary Package:

• 10,000 to 15,000 USD per month (NET).
• Paid flights, medical insurance and onsite accommodation

Mobilisation: June 2019
