We are hiring for a Procurement Engineer, English speaking, with 5+ years experience in a Construction environment, to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; initially a 3-6 month contract, commencing May, with a view to extension; £400-£600/day NET, including accommodation. Monthly weekend flight to Dubai or home.
This relates to the construction of the Neom smart and cross-border city, North West Saudi Arabia, in the Tabuk region, near the Jordanian border, facing Egypt over the Red Sea, at a project value of $500 billion, first stage due for completion by 2025.
The project includes a bridge spanning the Red Sea, connecting the proposed city to Africa. Some 25,900 square kilometers have been allocated for the development of the urban area, which will stretch into Jordan and Egypt. Alongside Neom wil be Qiddiya, a multi-billion dollar entertainment resort 2-1/2 times the size of Disney World.
We are seeking a Procurement Engineer with 5+ years greenfield Construction experience, including sourcing suppliers, pre-qualification, specifications, RFQs, ITTs, tender and bid analysis, vendor testing, forms of contract, contract drafting, negotiation, contract award and amendments, procurement, variations. This is not a management or consultancy role, rather a hands-on office and meeting based procurement role. You will be based in the NEOM project office, managing procurment projects in conjunction with the Chief Procurement Officer.
