We are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a chemical manufacturer based in West Yorkshire. Our client is looking for a Maintenance Manager to come on board and take control of the maintenance project for the manufacturing plant, with a long term vision of developing the plant maintenance process and developing the maintenance team to achieve year on year improvements.
The successful candidate will have experience managing maintenance in a process environment, delivering a ‘right first time’ approach. They will have experience managing, coaching and influence a team with the goal of establishing a competent team capable of solving the right problems and filling future engineering gaps. The client is looking for longer term engineer to help guide the plants future maintenance projects and future team development.

Job duties:
- Ensure the availability of the assets on the manufacturing plant
- Responsible for the upkeep and review of the manufacturing area’s maintenance guide and strategy
- Responsible for the engineering team, including first line management of controllers and technicians
- Management, forecasting and adherence of site budgets
- Engineering development of the manufacturing team
- Ensure Good Engineering Standards
- Maintain HSEQ standards, driving cultural change for asset standards, operating methods and installation procedure
- Degree qualified or HNC equivalent.
- Experience in maintenance team management including budget management
- Knowledge of current legislation
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent
- Strong management and influencing skills
- Experience working on COMAH sites (Top Tier preferable)
