Senior Environmental Specialist - Bangladesh

We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Specialist for an on-going Bridge project in Bangladesh.

Opportunity:

My client is one of the largest global engineers in the infrastructure field who from their base in Asia has projects across the globe. They are requiring a Senior Environmental Specialist for on going 128km, ADB funded project. This is a 41 month assignment to be based in country and start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

The specialist will be responsible to the Team Leader for all environmental aspects of the project, including ensuring that the project's environmental management plan is implemented effectively. As part of an international team the Environmental Specialist shall be responsible for preparation of environmental impact assessments, reviewing & approving the contractors SSEMP as well as managing the Projects Environmental Management Plan.

Key requirements for the role:

• Masters in Civil/ Environmental Engineering
• Minimum 20 Years of working experience in Environment Field
• Have previous experience with donor funded agency (ADB/WB/JICA)
• Regional experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Language:

Fluency in English writing and communication

Salary Package:

The salary package on offer is flexible but would expected to be around $10-12,000 tax free as well as a full expatriate package including Flights, accommodation etc.
