THE ROLE

I am now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with some Project Management skills to join a firm of construction consultants in the City of London.

Projects are varied in the healthcare, housing, education, leisure and cultural sectors.

You must have been working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants and have good pre and post contract experience.

THE CLIENT

Our client is a successful large firm of multi disciplinary consultants with offices across the UK and Worldwide.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Senior Quantity Surveyor or be ready to step up to this position and you will have five years or more experience post graduation. You will need to be MRICS qualified.

You should have worked on projects across the whole project life cycle.

You will need to have a good Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or similar and you must have worked for another firm of private practice quantity surveyors or multi disciplinary consultants.

You will be involved in both Pre and Post Contract duties on a number of projects including cost planning, tendering, site valuations, cost reporting, cost management, value management and agreement of final accounts etc.

Knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract.

Ideally you will have gained some project management experience.

You should be able to run a number of projects from £200K to around £10m and be responsible for the cost management and be able to act as the project manager too.

It is essential that you have excellent communication skills as you will deal directly with clients.

Salary is likely to be in the region of £60000 to £70000 or more plus pension contribution and RICS fees and other benefits.
