Job Description
"MAIN FUNCTIONS • Lead Site Safety and Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) • Lead and Manage company site team(s) for completion of construction activities in accordance with project objectives, schedule, priorities, and contract specifications • Serve as member of the Project Team (PT) when project assigned • Supervise on-site contractual administration and specification compliance • Oversee the planning and execution of fabrication, construction, hookup, and mechanical completion • Serve as Company single-point contact on-site for contractor site management • Manage interfaces/interactions with contractors and other groups (e.g., engineering, systems completion, and production operations) regarding relationships and construction issues • Report progress, performance, initiatives, and issues to Project Manager • Report to Construction Support Manager with general updates, as needed • When not project assigned, support project construction site management with expertise as needed TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to all Level 1 and 2 tasks, a Level 3 Manager will: • Report progress, performance, initiatives, and issues to Site or Project Manager • Ensure contractor is implementing and maintaining effective interfaces • Ensure Quality Plan and requirements are in place and followed • Ensure Mechanical Completion and Systems Completion activities are planned and safely executed to facilitate schedule • Actively participate in Key Risk Assessments, Construction Readiness Reviews and/or Independent Project Reviews • Actively participate in lessons learned review and appropriate close-out report sections upon completion of site work • Accountable for competency and career development of direct reports including providing input to appraisal process for assigned site personnel SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Engineering • 20+ years’ experience in construction for Oil and Gas industry • Strong understanding of typical construction site and fabrication yard performance variables • Competent skill levels in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Able to articulate technical issues to a non-technical audience • Good command of English both written and spoken • Ability to travel internationally • Able to collaborate with others in a fast-changing environment "
Specific Job Requirements/Skills
Candidate should be an expat fluent in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and English. He/ She is willing to rotate to China immediately.
