Chief Mining Geotechnical Engineer required
Working for our well established client in Central Africa,on you will be an experienced Chief Geotechnical Engineer with experience of underground and open pit mines
Responsibilites:-
• Direct and supervise the geotechnical team in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
• Ensure that industry norms and company SOP's are followed when conducting geotechnical data collection, inspections, risk assessments and procedures to communicate geotechnical hazards and risks.
• Ensure industry and company good practice methods are implemented to evaluate and design stable open pit slopes and underground excavations.
• Ensure that all operational areas are inspected and reported on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Ensure that monitoring systems are operational and TARP are up to date and implemented
Professional Qualification/Experience Required
• Over 15 years of experience in open pit and underground mining environments.
• BS/MS in Geological, Geotechnical, Mining or Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with associations.
• Practical experience in software packages for general geotechnical engineering in underground and open pit mining.
