Contract Engineer - Oil & Gas / France

Our client, an international oil and gas operator, are looking for an experience Contracts Engineer to join their project team in Paris for a short period before moving onto the project office in Singapore.

Brief overview of activities:

1. Request for Information:

For some projects, and/or packages within projects, it is required to engage the market and assess experience and level of interest from different contractors for the upcoming work. In other cases specific ideas and suggestions are solicited from the market for the benefit of the project/packages.

2. Request for Quotation:

In projects and/or packages within projects we use a process of tendering (call for tender) to understand which supplier is best suited to satisfy our requirements. In many cases, the Contracts Engineer

will work with the project team and the relevant category manager.

3. Contract Award

Once the decision is made to award the project/package to the selected contractor, the contract needs to be put in place.

The Contracts Engineer will work with the project team, legal and the relevant category manager in order to manage this process.

Required skills and experience:

- Experience in capital projects in Oil & Gas industry.

- Experience with RFQ/CFT's for FEED activities and for EPC packages

- A deep understanding of the RFQ/CFT and contract structures for these types of contracts, as well as a good understanding of applicable contract law.
