Specialist Engineer Controls / Netherlands

As Specialist Engineer Controls you are responsible for Network configuration, Client and Vendors discussions, the design and preparation of specifications, BOD, SGS, UGS, Vendor contacts for DCS-HMI Interfaces, F&G, ESD, Relay Cabinets.

• Design and make calculations for project purposes based on the guidelines provided by the person directly responsible
• Prepare specifications
• Monitor planning, scope, budget and schedule of requirements
• Prepare estimates
• Prepare price comparisons
• Interpret regulations and guidelines in his field and apply them
• Assist with scope change discussions
• Arrange technical requirements with the client and record these
• Liaise with clients and third parties
• Check and monitor the quality of own work as well as that of colleagues
• Report to the Discipline Engineer within the discipline
• Report to the project leader/manager within the project
• Implement TRAs for Health, Safety and Environment relevant to the job

Job requirements

• BSc degree/MSc degree and approximately 7 years of experience
• Have the necessary knowledge of system architectures, Protocols, PLC and DCS hardware
• Have the necessary knowledge of regulations (specific NEN- EN-IEC 61508 and 61511), guidelines and standards in his field, and interpret these in the correct way
• Knowledge of MS Office and software relevant to the field
• Native Dutch speaker and English, C1 level
• Hold driving license B Job description
