Senior Quantity Surveyor – Residential / England

A recognised name within the housing market is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their Berkshire office. Specialising in the private housing sectors they are considered one of the best companies within their field. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you would be joining an already successful commercial team on a permanent basis.

You will be joining as legacy projects are finishing thus allowing you the opportunity to manage future projects in the right way. This business has a newly appointed Commercial Director who comes with a very strong background. This is certainly someone who affords his time to his staff and is someone you can learn from.
 
The role is office based but with site visits and entails managing the commercial interests of developments. Reporting to the Commercial Director the duties to be carried out include overseeing variations, sub-contact orders and accounts as well as other general QS duties. The role will include overlooking 2 or 3 sites at one time or potentially one larger major project. You may also have an Assistant QS reporting into yourself if you are involved with larger sites.
 
The ideal candidate must have,

• A desire to share and implement a vision.
• Strong computer skills
• Experience within the traditional/timber frame housing market

 
It would be an advantage to have/be,

• Worked for a recognised house builder or main contractor
• Within 1 hour of the office.
