Description

- Strong ability to use Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.;
- Incumbent will be working at the St. John's Project office, with periodic visits to construction sites in Labrador and/or Newfoundland and Contractor's offices and suppliers;
- Schedule will be Monday to Friday, Sam-5pm;
- Incumbent willing to work overtime as required.
Requirements
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- • Support HVdc Specialties Quality Lead in leading and managing the development, implementation and maintenance of the QA/QC requirements, oversight, monitoring, inspection and surveillance program to ensure successful delivery of the HVdc Specialties scope;
- Ensure Contractor clarity and understanding of quality, technical specification, standard and code requirements;
- Report on the effectiveness of Contractor inspection program (qualified personnel, procedures, inspection methods, etc.
- Ensure quality deficiencies are identified and tracked, and prepare, issue, action and ensure closure of surveillance reports, quality audit reports, preventative/corrective actions, non-conformances, and observations;
- Follow up with Contractor and monitor closure of open action items;
- Perform ITP review to ensure project, code and standard requirements are included;
- Advise of issues and concerns;
- Ensure adherence to Engineering accepted NCR, CAR and PAR dispositions;
- Ensure/verify QA/QC monitoring, surveillance, inspection and audit plan development and implementation, and implementation of procedures and checklists for inspecting and reporting of the work, to ensure contractors' and suppliers' quality programs are fully implemented and effective;
- Review and acceptance of contactors' and suppliers' Quality documentation for compliance to PO/contract which includes but is not limited to quality plans, inspection and test plans, test records, procedures, quality records, final documentation, etc.;
- Perform field verification /inspection of the work for adherence of quality requirements as per the agreement, Quality Plans, ITPs, procedures, checklists, drawings, method statements, etc.;
- Ensure field checklist /reporting adherence;
- Ensure implementation of contractors' and suppliers' quality plans and inspection and test plans through inspection via company or third party inspectors, home office resources and quality audits;
- Interface with Engineering as necessary to review turnover documentation requirements;
- Ensure and participate in progressive final documentation review;
- Contribute to quality progress reports including quality metrics, monthly reporting, etc.;
- Other related activities required by the Quality Lead and Quality Manager.
