Description

- support the project facilities project organisation, contractors, suppliers/vendors and other stakeholders.

- support the project Technical Safety Lead in organizing and coordinating technical safety activities related to the FPSO and associated interfaces with reservoir, sub-sea disciplines, and HSSE department.

- support the decision for concept selection and prepare for FEED phase

- provide input and support to concept level philosophy documents regarding emergency response, safety and barrier management

- support and document the project ALARP and BAT process and decisions

- ensure design & concept development progresses in accordance with the inherent safety, safety and barrier management strategies.

- provide functional support for design, specification and selection of technical safety systems and packages (including ESD, fire and gas detection, active and passive fire protection).

- ensure project deliveries are carried out in accordance with NORSOK standards, Norwegian regulations and company procedures/standards.

- Be responsible for helth, safety, security and protection of the environment at the workplace, participate in HSSE trainings according to competency maps, and contribute to integrate HSSE into the company culture.

Requirements

Education: University degree Master/Diplom

Subject of education: Bachelor of engineering in relevant discipline

Relevant professional experience: 10-15 years

Other:

- experience with design of technical safety systems such as fire and gas detection, ESD, SIL, active and passive fire protection.

- relevant experience with NORSOK & other appropriate standards on major greenfields projects.

- project experience from early concept definition through to execution.

- experience of design and operations in offshore arctic environments would be a significant advantage.

- FPSO design and operation experience.

- excellent inter-personal, analytical and problem solving skills.

- self-starter – proven experience facilitating workshops and writing reports and strategies.

- strong communication skills – oral and written.

- Norwegian language, spoke and written, would be an advantage but not essential.
