Description
- Overall technical responsible for Technical Safety and Automation in CDE
- To provide technical and operational support within Automation / Safety Systems, equipment and systems, legislative compliance and verification for all rigs (including projects)
- Responsible for applying lessons learned relating to Automation / Safety Systems and equipment between rigs and ensure consistent update of procedures
- To liase with Clients, Authorities and Regulatory Bodies within area of responsibility, and to keep up to date with applicable legislation
- Provide compliance guidance, and to assist, advice and plan for regulatory inspections, projects, upgrades and surveys
- Responsible for developing operational and equipment standards and to evaluate new technology and improvements within area of responsibility
- To contribute to ensure satisfactory compliance with maintenance and standards, equipment and systems, legislative compliance and verifications. Including evaluation and approvals of system changes
- To plan and ensure hardware assessments are completed within area of responsibility
- To assist the Projects and Procurement Department in specifying technical requirements relating to equipment purchase or repairs to equipment within area of responsibility
- Responsible for selecting and evaluating relevant Technical and Safety Bulletins
- To assist HR in the selection and development of suitable personnel for positions within field of expertise. Identification of appropriate courses and content relating to marine operations and equipment in line with legislative requirements
- Actively follow up on his/ her own competence status in accordance with position and together with supervisor plan for training activities required to close any competence gaps
- Authority to set new equipment and operating standards within field of expertise, in liaison with senior management
- Take actions in order to achieve the results stated by the management and to ensure the rig is operated in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, quality systems, maintenance program
- Ensure Company Power of Attorney matrix is followed for any financial commitments
Requirements
Qualifications
- Higher education within Electronic
- Engineer Basic Offshore Safety Training
- Relevant offshore experience with operations of DP positioned vessels
- Relevant experience rig projects, including commissioning and acceptance of safety systems
- Good knowledge of English, both oral and written
