Planning Manager/Senior Planner

Our top tier client is a leading family-owned building and civil engineering company that have worked on some of Britain's most iconic projects. They are urgently looking for a Planning Manager to work on a major residential high-rise development in Central Birmingham.

They are seeking candidates with the following:

• Graduate Diploma/Degree in Construction, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card
• Proven track record at a senior level in planning and controls at tender and contract stage
• Record of leading, managing and developing planning and controls staff at project level
• Detailed knowledge of construction methods and techniques
• Ability to develop and manage a balanced suite of project controls information/data
• Ability to establish priorities and manage deadlines
• Advanced practitioner of Asta Power Project/Teamplan

Reporting into the Director of Planning, responsibilities will include:

• Leading the planning & controls function on tenders, projects or programmes of works
• Developing, maintaining and managing all programmes, project controls and other time-related and production control deliverables, logistics and site management plans
• Communicating the project's planning and controls roadmap and performance measures to a host of key stakeholders
• Challenging live projects to ensure delivery is in line with all company, regional and project business objectives
• Acting as a key member of the Project Manager and Regional Planning Manager's teams, providing first class planning and controls functional leadership and support in meeting business objectives
