THE ROLE

I am now seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor / Project Surveyor to join a large firm of construction consultants in Birmingham.

You will need to have around three years or more post graduation experience and either be working towards becoming chartered or ideally already chartered with the RICS.

Our client seeks someone to work on a range of projects for commercial, industrial, aviation and public sector clients.

You must have been working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants and have good pre and post contract experience.

Our client is a successful large firm of multi disciplinary consultants with offices across the UK and Worldwide.

THE CANDIDATE

I am now seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who has around three years or more experience post graduation or who worked throughout your degree and is almost chartered or someone who is already chartered to work as a Project Surveyor.

You should have worked on projects across the whole project life cycle.

You will need to have a good Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or similar and you must have worked for another firm of private practice quantity surveyors or multi disciplinary consultants. Ideally you will already be MRICS qualified or equivalent.

You will be involved in both Pre and Post Contract duties on a number of projects including feasibility, cost planning, tendering, site valuations, cost reporting, cost management, value management and agreement of final accounts and more.

Knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract preferred.

Ideally you will have worked on a range of projects previously.

It is essential that you have excellent communication skills as you will deal directly with clients.

Salary is likely to be in the region of £40000 to £55000 or more plus pension contribution and RICS fees plus good pension contribution, private health insurance and other benefits.
