We are a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within multiple industries. Our client is a leader in providing specialty chemicals for a variety of industries with facilities and operations around the globe. They are looking to hire a Maintenance Superintendent for one of their facilities in Magnolia, AR.

JOB SUMMARY

Superintendent in charge of all plant maintenance crafts excluding E&I, Refrigeration and Process Controls.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work closely with as well as report to the maintenance manager overseeing technicians across the mechanical equipment of the chemical facility
  • Work towards maintenance and reliability process improvements at the facility to help reduce maintenance cost and increase equipment reliability
  • Run root cause failure analysis, incident investigations, preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Drive excellence within the maintenance technician team from mentorship and direct training
  • Provide technical support as well as hands on troubleshooting/insight
  • Help drive team safety awareness and performance
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive technologies like vibration analysis, oil analysis, and thermography
  • Knowledge of best practices for fixed equipment inspections
  • Strong technical and problem solving skill for mechanical design, failure analysis, and maintenance best practices
  • Good communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varied priorities and drive them to closure
  • Functional use of the corporate computer systems including use of SAP modules for maintenance, projects, and purchasing
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering degree required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in maintenance engineering in chemical plant
  • Minimum of 3+ years supervisory or leadership experience overseeing mechanics
  • Hands-on experience with pump hydraulics, seals, rotating and fixed equipment, compressors, vessels, exchangers, agitators, etc.
  • Experience with mechanical design, failure analysis, and maintenance best practices
  • Experience working with hazardous materials
  • Experience working on capex projects and putting together maintenance process improvement policies and procedures for turnarounds (TAR)
  • Knowledge of RCFA methodology (Apollo or Taproot) and ability to facilitate these efforts

  • Relocation within the U.S. is available
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
