THE ROLE
I am now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a large firm of PQS in Winchester, Hampshire.
You will need to have around four years or more post graduation experience and ideally be Chartered with the RICS or CIOB membership.
You will need to be able to look after your own projects.
You will work closely with an Associate or Director to manage and deliver capital investment projects.
You must have been working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants and have good pre and post contract experience.
Projects are mainly in the public sector and you will run cost management across the whole project life cycle from initial inception through the design and procurement process and through site delivery and commissioning phase.

Our client is a successful large multi disciplinary firm in the construction industry.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager with a Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar subjects.
You are likely to be MRICS or MCIOB qualified.
You should have worked on project across the whole project life cycle.
You will work as part of their Southampton office but you will be seconded in to client offices in Winchester.
You should be able to lead the cost management function on your projects.
You will be involved in both Pre and Post Contract duties on a number of projects including cost planning, tendering, site valuations, cost reporting, cost management, value management and agreement of final accounts etc.
It is essential that you have excellent communication skills as you will deal directly with clients.
Salary will be in the region of £45000 to £65000 plus pension contribution and RICS fees plus good pension contribution, private health insurance and other benefits.
