This company is a world renowned Oil and Gas Operator with projects and assets spread across all continents. As a result of recent growth in Melbourne, they have a newly created job vacancy for a Senior Environmental Engineer. This role will be offered on a 12 month rolling contract basis and you will be handsomely rewarded with a market leading hourly rate.
The main function of this role will be to plan, design and supervise a range of industrial activities relating to offshore work. You will write and recommended procedures to clean up contaminated sites and will ensure compliance with all government regulations and permitting conditions. Work will include water and waste treatment, site investigation and remediation where environmental site assessments are completed, and pollution control. You will participate in or lead regulatory processes, such as environmental impact assessments, that review facilities or field operations.
To be considered, you must be a degree qualified Environmental Engineer and possess a minimum of 8 years experience with a large portion of this being devoted to offshore works. We are seeking a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills who can interact with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders.
