Chartered Quantity Surveyor / England

THE ROLE

I am seeking a Quantity Surveyor at Intermediate or Senior level who is either MRICS qualified or “qualified by experience” to join a firm of PQS to work site based on a huge project in Wembley, Middlesex initially on infrastructure works then on building works.

A background of working for a PQS or multi disciplinary consultants is essential.

THE CLIENT

Our client is a successful firm of consultants offering clients quantity surveying and project management services.

Their clients are all in the private sector and projects including hotels, offices, residential etc. valued from around £20m to £1bn.

THE CANDIDATE

I am now seeking an Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor with around five years or more experience, who is either MRICS qualified or who is “qualified by experience”.

You may be working for another firm of UK firm of PQS or multi disciplinary firm of construction consultants and you would like to have a largely site based role with visits to the office as required in the City of London.

You will be involved in both Pre and Post Contract duties on a number of projects including cost planning, tendering, site valuations, cost reporting, cost management and agreement of final accounts.

Some experience of infrastructure for large buildings would be preferred then you will move on to building works.

You will be involved in the full project process through to project delivery.

You will work as closely with an Associate Director on this mega project.

It is essential that you have excellent communication skills as you will deal directly with clients and contractors.

Salary will be in the region of £50000 to £65000 or more plus pension contribution, RICS fees, excellent bonus etc. and there will be good prospects for promotion.
