THE ROLE

An opportunity for an ambitious Principal Electrical Engineer who has experience of infrastructure and building projects to join a large firm of consulting engineers in West Sussex.

Projects are really varied and including projects for National Grid tunnels, wastewater treatment works, power infrastructure, rail plus some interesting buildings.

You will also have the opportunity of working on some international infrastructure projects too.

Duties will include design engineering of single line diagrams, motor control centres, cable and load schedules.

Also you will produce technical documents such as electrical specifications, general, outline and detailed system design drawings.

You will be able to manage a small team.

My client is a large firm of multi discipline consulting engineers.

My client has offices across the UK but also work on some overseas projects too.

They offer a good career path for ambitious and determined candidates.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to be at Principal or Senior level.

You will have a Degree or Masters or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Ideally you will be Chartered or coming up to chartered status and you should have at least five years experience or more as an Electrical Engineer working on similar projects.

Experience in particular of water and wastewater projects is preferred.

Experience of design engineering, managing graduate engineers, bid preparations, report production, site asset surveys, site supervision, liaising with clients and contractors etc.

Experience of working for another firm in the U.K. is preferred.

You should be willing to travel as required both in the UK and sometimes overseas.

Salary is very negotiable according to experience plus pension and other benefits.
