Tunnel Superintendent - Swedish / Sweden

A major Construction company is seeking a highly skilled Tunnel Superintendent to manage a newly awarded Tunnel project in Sweden. This is a prestigious new win and requires a Swedish speaking candidate who has local experience leading construction for tunnelling and underground projects in Sweden.

They are seeking a well rounded construction specialist who is able to oversee the construction, client interface and operational management of the project site/shift autonomously. They will be responsible for the hands on delivery of the large diameter tunnels working both from site and office for a long term post (possibly moving into a permanent role upon completion).

This is a key position reporting to the Construction Manager. It will be focused on the delivery of a major contract and will be a key role. As such experience on projects of this nature will be required with a track record on multiple projects over £100m within tunnelling and civils.

The Superintendent will be responsible for the following:
-Construction management of tunnel works
- Implementing quality standards
-Budget management and procurement
-Building and recruiting a large construction team
-Communicating with the client and consultant representatives
-Liaising with design teams
-Overseeing sub-contractors

An ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
-FLUENT IN SWEDISH
-Previous experience in roles such as; Supervisor, Site Manager, Tunnel Engineer, Construction Manager, Tunnel Manager
-Experience with Tunnel, concrete and major underground civil projects will be beneficial.

Candidates must be willing to relocate to Sweden for 3 years minimum term on a full time basis. There will be flights provided if needed and packages are negotiable however will be very strong and worthy of senior level engineers.
