Company information

We are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who can perform typical engineering tasks for one of our projects in Stavanger.

Description

  • Mechanical / Valve Package Responsible Engineer (PRE)
  • Overall responsibilities for follow-up
  • Responsible for all parts of a specific product during engineering, project execution and manufacturing phase.
  • Prepare and check Master Equipment List (MEL)
  • Develop and give input to bulk MTO for purchase
  • Perform verification and approval of Supplier Documents and Drawings (SMDL) together with the Discipline Lead
  • Produce and clearly define the technical scope of work in Technical Requisitions and Technical Specifications for Inquiry and purchase order purposes
  • Technical evaluation of all tenders received and follow up technical clarifications to all tenders
  • FAT participation as Package Responsible Engineer
  • Conduct offshore surveys and produce reports
  • Update TAG's and engineering data registers
  • Give input to plan and estimate the mechanical discipline scope of work

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Formal higher degree in engineering is preferred.
  • Experience from maintenance and modification project in Oil and Gas industry is essential.
  • Have the ability to work independently and in a team, to be proactive and focused on safety.
  • Familiar with prevailing regulations
  • Concerned in multidiscipline problems
  • Preferable experience with Proarc and IFS (or similar)

Education level

  • College / University, Master's degree
  • College / University, Bachelor's degree

Personal qualities

  • Good communication and cooperation skills
  • Have the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Proactive and focused on safety and project goals.
  • Inter-disciplinary coordination skills
