Our client is looking to hire a Process Safety Coordinator for its HSEQ department. The main challenge of this role is to coordinate process safety management programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards. You will support various processes such as HSE Risk Management Process, Management of Change and Occupational Hygiene Process. You will facilitate risk assessments and conduct incident investigations and audits as and when required.
The successful candidate should be fluent in Dutch and English and willing to travel to offshore locations when required.
Key job responsibilities
o Process Safety Coordinator: support and maintain Company Process Safety Management effort;
o HSE Risk Management Process Advisor: maintain and continual improve the HSE Risk Response Process including the plans and organization;
o Risk Management Process Support: support the organization in conducting and following up business risk and opportunity assessment;
o Management of Change: support the Management of Change process by conducting high level risk management review;
o Facilitation of Risk Assessments: facilitate and/or support execution of RIE, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL Assessments, Bow-ties assessments, etc.;
o Incident, Investigation and Reporting Process Advisor: ensure implementation and continual improvement of IIR procedures and tools in close consultation with QHSE Specialist and applicable stakeholders;
o Occupational Hygiene Process Advisor: Ensure implementation and continual improvement of occupational hygiene procedures and tools in close consultation with QHSE Technician and applicable stakeholders;
o Conduct Incident Investigations and Audits on as needed basis;
o Act as HSE Officer supporting emergency management process (on rotation);
o Implement and monitor HSE Management System requirements, where applicable;
o Provide advice to the Health Safety Environment and Quality Manager on functional resource needs (manpower levels and experience / training / mentoring requirements).
Minimum Work experience & qualification
o Minimum MSc in Industrial Engineering;
o Minimum 10 years’ experience in technical safety preferably in the offshore oil and gas industry;
o Process Hazard Analysis Facilitators Training; Bow-tie training is considered a plus;
o Root Cause Analysis Facilitator training;
o Understanding of Health, Environment and Safety and government procedures and regulations related to offshore oil and gas operations
Skills & Competencies Required
o Willing to regularly travel offshore;
o Self-starter/ able to work independently;
o Excellent communication and reporting skills;
o Presentation and facilitation skills;
o Good analytical and problem solving skills with pragmatic approach;
o Able to both engage and influence others;
o Able to perform whilst taking into consideration all stakeholder requirements;
o Fluent in English and Dutch language (verbal and written);
o Structured way of working;
o Coaching skills.
