Expectations/Role
To carry out Dimensional Control surveys, both onshore and offshore.
Key Aims and Objectives
Carry out a wide range of surveys in line with relevant procedures
Carry out laser scans in line with relevant procedures
Processing of all captured data and preparation of final deliverables
Prime Responsibilities and Duties
Attend planning / mobilisation brief with the Survey Coordinator / Client and ensure that the Scope of Work and contract deliverables is fully understood
Carry out pre-operations check on survey and scanning equipment
Obtain pertinent permits on clients sites as required
Carry out / assist with Dimensional Control surveys in accordance with procedures
Planning and efficiently organising work in order to meet agreed deadlines
Carry out work under guidance from Senior/Lead Surveyor
Carry out the Survey in accordance with Scopus Engineering Ltd Business Management System procedures
Data processing and production of deliverables
Preparing & Checking of drawings, 3D models and reports
Promote a proactive safety culture by active participation in HSSE systems such as stop-card
Occasional Duties
Support/Assist in Land Survey projects

Survey Manager, Survey Coordinator, Surveyors, Operations Planner & Coordinator
KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Qualifications / Training
Essential:
• Proficient use of 3D CAD packages
• Proficient use of total stations and laser scanners
Desirable:
• BSc in Surveying or other relevant subject
• BOSIET, MIST and offshore medical
• Full driving license
Experience
Essential:
• Experience as a Land / Engineering or Dimensional Control Surveyor
• Understanding and skilled application of all aspects of surveying
Personal Qualities, Aptitudes and Skills
Must have good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate to clients
Must be organized and work in methodical manner
Good organization skills
Good team work
Competencies - Technical
Good spatial awareness
Excellent mathematical skills
Proficient use of 3D CAD packages
Proficient use of total stations and laser scanners
Proficient in data processing of total station and laser scan data
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Competencies - Project Specific (if applicable)
Must be prepared to travel for work (incl. offshore)
