Rolling Stock Expert - Cairo

We are currently working with a leading engineering consultancy that is working on a railway project in Cairo. They require an experienced Rolling Stock Expert to join their team on the project for the purpose of Design Revision & Implementation Supervision on the project.

This is a senior level position and comes with accommodation provided, health insurance, flights and pays a good basic salary.

Duties of the role In coordination with project partners you will lead a team made up of two senior engineers (both electric and mechanic) and four junior engineers in order to carry out the following tasks
Advice the client all through the design phase. Analyze contractor´s proposals and approve or reject them.
Work along with other experts to ensure design are compatible with RS.
RS acceptance at home.
Inspection of RS manufacturing process.
Inspection of the completed train at the factory.
Issue authorization for shipping.
Track tests.
Take part in Testing and commissioning.
Any other required by the client as long as it is included in his field of expertise.

Requirements to apply

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering
Member of a recognized professional body or suitable management qualification
10+ years of experience in Rolling Stock Field
5+ years of experience in management and implementation of similar projects and in a similar position
Strong communication skills in English
