We are seeking an experienced Highways Resident Engineers for a project in Ethiopia.

Opportunity:

My client is one of the largest global engineers in the Highways field who has projects across the globe. They are requiring a capable Resident Engineer to be based on site for the Design Review and Construction Supervision phases scheduled to last for 30 months .

Responsibilities:

As the Resident Engineer the successful individual shall be working as part of an International team with overall responsibility for in country project management in all technical aspects. The Resident Engineer will be responsible for the completion of tasks in design review stage as well as supervision stage in the framework of the Conditions of Contract on behalf of the Engineer.

Key requirements for the role:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related subject (ideally M.Sc.)
• 15 years of road construction or design experience
• 10+ years experience as Project Manager or Resident Engineer on construction, upgrade or rehabilitation projects
• Regional experience would be desirable but not essential

Language:

Fluency in English writing and communication
