Legal Counsel
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Start: ASAP
Duration: 12 month (renewable on agreement)
Salary: Negotiable
Home Leave: 21 days p/year (paid)
Working Week: 8 hrs p/day - 5 days p/week
Overtime: 12 hrs p/week (maximum, if required)
Accommodation / Flights (economy) provided by Client
Managing claims and disputes for international projects, which include liasing with and supervising external lawyers;
Provide legal advice to support business units and project teams;
Drafting and reviewing legal memorandum, contracts, agreements and other legal documents;
Assisting sales & marketing department by preparing commercial bids from a legal perspective, including reviewing of tender documents;
Preparation of claim documents and negotiation of claims against clients and other counter parties on a business trip basis, if required.
Juries Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree;
License to practice as a lawyer in common law jurisdiction (UK, US, Australia or New Zealand)
Minimum 5 years PQE in a law firm or in-house legal team in a multinational company
Heavy experience in area of Construction, Shipping or Oil & Gas industry preferred
Experiences of contract management preferred
