Regional Maintenance Manager - Terminals / Netherlands

Purpose of the function:

Develop, implement and maintain a solid maintenance strategy for the terminals to:

• ensure compliance with all permits and applicable regulations
• monitor and safeguard the integrity of our critical equipment
• Manage and optimize the use of our assets, resources and budgets

Review, update, implement and maintain our maintenance procedures and check lists.

Reporting Line:

• Reporting to Assets & Engineering Director

Direct Reports:

• The terminal maintenance coordinators at each site

Key Interfaces:

• Terminal Managers
• ARA Project Portfolio Group
• ARA Purchasing Manager
• Technical suppliers and contractors
• Operations Manager and operations teams
• Finance team
• CSR & HSSEQ

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure site compliance with all applicable local and corporate policies and regulations
• Manage the day to day maintenance activities on site
• Develop a long-term strategic plan for the Maintenance organization. Identify required changes within the terminals to maximize the use of our assets and resources.
• Develop, monitor and continuously improve the maintenance standard and KPI's of each terminal
• Supervise the roll-out, ensure compliance with the engineering standard, manage the implementation and organize required training and support of our system.
• Develop and manage the performance of the maintenance team

Knowledge, education and experience

• Master's degree in engineering or technical area preferred
• Minimum 5 years of progressive maintenance experience in terminal or related industry (10 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree)
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Maintenance management experience in terminal or related industry
• In depth knowledge of critical equipment, process safety, ATEX and SIS (Safety Integrated Systems)
• Familiar with risk assessment techniques such as HAZOP and LOPA

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Problem solving: Requires advanced conceptual thinking in complex and/ or completely new situations
• Prepared to invest time in self education to be up to speed with recent developments
