SENIOR COST CONTROL ENGINEER
MAIN ROLE
Supervises cost estimating, analysis, and control activities. Coordinates with the Master Scheduler the consistency of the cost and time along the lifetime of the program. Assist in the development, maintenance, monitoring, and cost control of the budget. Reviews prime-related correspondence for potential Trends and assists with the preparation of early warnings.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Support the Cost Manager in the development of the project cost control strategy, plans and procedure in accordance with established requirements.
- Coordinate development and implementation of project work breakdown structure (WBS) and Cost breakdown structure (CBS) in consultation with the program controls manager and department leads.
- Reviewing cost commitment and expenditure information for all cost elements, for input to the computerized cost control and reporting system on a consistent basis and ensuring that all information received is accurate and correctly input.
- Provide cost input to the risk management plan.
- Develop the forecast of the program in coordination with all departments.
- Experience in performing change management program - Identification, estimating cost of changes, Coordination with all departments in home office and field, presentation to Project and functional management and Resolution of changes.
- Supervises cost recording, monitoring, and reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards. Supervises and is responsible for the development and accuracy of cost engineering reports. Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility.
- Identifies cost trends for management attention.
- Responsible for issuing reports required the Airport Development Program(ADP).
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions, which include cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis, in the field and the home office.
- Extensive experience in trend management (trend program)
- Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
- Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several project controls basic software applications.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
- Experience in earned value management system.
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Intermediate level of English.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mega infrastructure projects, specifically airports, hospitals, large hotels or similar vertical buildings.
- Experience in EPC or EPCM or CM.
- Experience in large infrastructure general contractors.
