Master Scheduler Job Description
The Master Scheduler will develop & manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for a large capital development project within Lima, Peru as part of the Airport Development Program (ADP). Candidates will work within Project Controls to translate contractor submitted schedule update data and relate it to high level executive management and financiers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify all major events/dates and relate schedules to the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Clearly defining when tasks start and finish
- Understand Engineering/Construction operations schedules and environments within major capital projects
- Develop continuous management of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Maintain resource loaded project schedules, including progress updates
- Review schedules on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and credibility of the updates
- Schedule major milestone reviews & phases, risks, problem areas, as well as coordinate program completions or objectives within the best time, least cost and risks
- Analyze Critical Paths
- Monitor schedule deliverables
- Identify and document time constraints and resources required for each of these events
- Communicate schedule status on a regular basis via formal and informal meetings and reports
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Planning, Scheduling and Project Controls working in large and complex Capital Projects at the Owner's level
- Mastery of the Primavera P6 software and related within the Oracle Primavera Stack
- Degree in engineering, business management for construction or related
- Working proficiency/knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees; Spanish language is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgement with the ability to manage others
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Effective working in a group Project Controls environment
- Must possess advanced analytics and presentation skills
- Proficiency to integrate Resources / Cost Management Information System data with P6
- Strong understanding of project controls and cost management, including forecasting, cashflow and risk management
- Should preferably have Airport development industry experience
