Location: To be based in Operators Head Office in Muscat
Start: ASAP
Permanent Contract
Salary: Negotiable
Previous Oil / Gas experience is essential
The Senior Geophysicist responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Structural and stratigraphic seismic interpretation.
Concept, play and prospect identification, generation and evaluation.
Screen, evaluate and recommend participation in external opportunities.
Monitor seismic acquisition operations.
Mentoring of young geophysicists.
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Geophysics or any related discipline.
A minimum of 10 years experience as a geophysicist in the Oil & Gas industry.
Must have exploration geophysics experience.
Advanced knowledge in prospect generation and evaluation.
Advanced knowledge in integrating geological and geophysical data.
Proficient in application of seismic sequence stratigraphy.
Interpretation skills in 2D & 3D seismic (Landmark software).
Knowledge of seismic acquisition and processing techniques.
Strong communication & presentation skills both verbal and written.
Good PC skills.
