Commercial/ Contracts Manager - Offshore/ Marine Construction

We are working with one of the market leaders in near shore and offshore construction in Europe. With a proven track record delivering both small and large projects they have urgent needs for high calibre contracts manager for both offshore and onshore wind projects.

Due to this increased workload the now need to strengthen the management team with the addition of a strong commercial manager.

Within this position you will be responsible to;

• You give support to the tender team in analysing the contractual documents.
• Draft appropriate wording for bid qualifications and conditions, together with the legal department.
• Monitor entitlements to variation instructions and submission of relevant contractual notices.
• Establish and maintain records of resources involved and effects on program/other activities for recovery of time and/or money arising out of extra works.
• Make requests for extensions of time, and for claims, in accordance with contractual obligations.

My client is looking for someone with the following key attributes;

• Commercial management of major contracts
• Offshore construction experience (wind farm would be a preference)
• Experience with main contractors
• Complete project experience from tendering through to claims
• This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a leading UK contractor with a T/O of £200 million GBP.
