Senior Accountant / England

Our client is an international Energy company based in Basingstoke

We are hiring for a Senior Accountant, relating to preparing financial statements, in an IFRS / SAP environment.

This will include reviewing assets, liability, capital account, journal entries, synthesising common ledger for subsidiary accounts, chart of accounts, accruals, monthly closure, reporting (monthly, half-yearly, annual), A/P, salary posting, expense reports, expat insurance, currency, working capital and cash flow, inter-company, discrepancies, vendor invoices and ageing.

For this we are seeking an ACA accredited professional (from well-known Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW, ICAP, ICAA)) with 3-10 years accounting experience in a Big 4 Firm or global / multinational organisation, on top of at least a first degree in Finance or Business Administration.

To be clear, this is a high workload Accountant role relating to complex projects in multiple territories in a multicultural environment, so you will need to see this as a positive for your application to be successful!

Due to the project nature of our clients' business, this engagement will be on a 1 year contract, with an expectation of yearly renewal, 40 hours per week, 9-5:30, with a target rate of £344 LTD for an 8 hour day (£43/hr), pro-rata c£75K. The office environment is a large, international executive company, 5 minutes from Basingstoke station, with parking, restaurant. Deadline 23rd Jan - target state date Feb/Mar.
