International Welding Engineer

Location: Switzerland

Our client is a leading OEM looking for an IWE who's role will primarily involve defining welding solutions for compressor projects, defining welding and testing procedures.

The successful applicant must be fluent in English and conversational in German.

Experience/ knowledge required:

• Fluent in English and conversational German - Other languages - desirable
• Certified in NDT
• Certified IWE
• 2+ years' experience with defining welding procedures for pressurised equipment
• Experience with materials for special applications within Oil and Gas, particularly high NI Steels
• Experience with compressors - desirable

Responsibilities:

• Defining procedures for welding and testing
• Deciding on measures in non-conformity cases
• Defining welding solutions for compressor projects
• Overseeing and assuring quality and standards are met
• Flexible to travel when necessary (approx. 20%)
