Specialist - Compliance & BPI / Qatar

We have an opening for a role of Specialist - Compliance & BPI available with our client - A Real Estate Developer Company. Based in Qatar

Job Purpose:

Assist in developing the overall Compliance and Business process improvement framework. Assist all directorates in process redesign and reengineering. Perform compliance monitoring reviews to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to and corrective/preventive action plans are in place. Maintain the central repository of all policies and procedures of the company.

Responsibilities

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:-

1. Business Process management & improvement - competence (through trainings/certifications…) & experience

2. Designing and implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or any other compliance systems in line with international standards or as per client requirements

3. Experience of providing training and awareness at different levels of the organization

4. Experience as "Management Representative" in a middle to large sized organization- Supervising the development and documentation of Governance documentation (like Manuals, Policies, Processes, Procedures …)

5. Experience of managing a central repository of governance documents

6. Management Consulting experience

7. Compliance Management experience

8. Experience of dealing with ISO certification bodies, second party (customer) audits and internal audits

9. "QHSE" Lead Auditor ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 or OHSAS 18001 - any additional would be a plus

10. EFQM Assessor or implementation training/experience

11. Auditing experience - execution & management

Strategy

Implement the functional strategy in line with the departmental strategy for the achievement of objectives in due course, cost and quality.

Assist in the implementation of the corporate sustainability initiatives.

Operating Plans & Budget

Implement approved annual business and operating plans and KPIs.

Manage the functional budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget.

Policy & Procedures

Develop and implement functional policies, systems, procedures and controls in line with departmental policies.

Continuous Improvement

Manage innovation and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in managing business operations with a view of stakeholders' expectations, commitments and international best practice.

Health Safety Environment

Follow all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.

Key Accountabilities - Operations

Ensure understanding and compliance of all departments to policies and procedures through compliance reviews.

Develop recommendations for corrective actions and coordinate with department head to refine recommendations and develop action plans in the case of misalignment with policies and procedures.

Coordinate with Internal Audit to open an investigation and support their efforts in the case of suspected financial fraud.

Manage the central repository of all policies and procedures at client.

Perform compliance monitoring reviews.

Perform research of best practice operational and business processes for development companies.

Perform identification, review, and analysis to improve existing business and operations' processes to meet set goals and objectives.

Develop process and system improvement initiatives and review with leadership.

Perform implementation of approved process and system improvement initiatives.

Coordinate teams across the departments to drive initiatives.

Coordinate with Sustainability to identify and pursue Corporate Excellence certifications and Operational Excellence certifications.

Develop internal and external surveys to measure different parameters across (including event surveys), in coordination with Communications & PR, Strategic Planning, and departments.

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration ISO and Six Sigma Certifications preferred.

Experience:

7 - 9 years of experience in Compliance and strong understanding of real estate business, policies and procedures.
