Instrumentation and Controls Engineer
Technical skills:
- Strong fundamental skills in Safety Instrumented
- Systems
- Relevant industry experience: Petrochemicals,
- refining, and derivatives from these operations
Technical skills:
- Highly skilled in process measurement solutions such
- as flow, level, pressure, temperature, position
- sensing, etc.
- Basic skills in application of process analyzers and
- their sample systems
- Highly skilled in control and automated valves
- engineering of all types
- Design of low voltage (480 VAC) motor controls
- Design of electrical power supplies for
- instrumentation
- Skilled in fired equipment related instrumentation
- such as flame detection, draft pressure, air and flue
- gas flow, as well as BMS logic design
- Familiar with major automation systems such as DCS,
- PLC, Safety PLC, operator workstations, industrial
- control systems architecture, etc.
- Experienced with data interface technologies such as
- Ethernet and Modbus
- Working knowledge with relevant industry standards,
- particularly ISA 84 / IEC 61511, API 556, NFPA 85,
- NEC/NFPA 70
