Bridge Resident Engineer - Technical - South Africa

We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer for a long term assignment in South Africa.

Opportunity:

My client is a market leading consultancy firm who are requiring support on a Bridge project in South Africa. You would be working as part of an International consultancy team on behalf of the client throughout the construction supervision phase of this scheme.

Responsibilities:

• Erection engineering aspects;
• Evaluation and approval of method statements;
• The overall safety of the bridge construction process;
• Geometric control in the erection of the high pylons and the decks
• Identification and management of key risks from a supervision viewpoint;
• Management of quality control procedure and reporting; and
• Supervision of the production processes and any off-site and/ or remote construction and/ or assembly facilities

Key requirements for the role:

• Substantial International experience on large bridges
• Cable stayed Bridge experience
• Previous Africa experience
