Job Description

Position Title: Project Manager - BoP
Reports to:Coordination Manager

JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for coordinating and carrying out in a timely manner all the work related to the construction and put in operation of renewable energy plants with special focus on wind farm projects, especially in compliance with the budget assigned to the project and within the established deadline.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

*Report to management on all aspects of Construction of projects as required.
*Managing and coordinating duties related to planning, assisting management in issuing requests for pricing, competitive review, and purchasing.
*Ensure cost competitiveness, on-time delivery and product quality.
*Ensure construction projects are completed on time and on budget from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
*Prepare daily, weekly and monthly project status updates reports for management and external stakeholders.
*Liaises with development and owner teams, providing construction insight to ensure early identification of risks, discharging of due-diligence risks, and supporting acquisition of new projects.
*Develop full-scale project execution plans and related documents.
*Propose changes to existing plans and operating budgets; implementing approved changes.
*Oversee project execution to ensure that all systems are installed exactly according to plan.
*Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
*Monitors the status of the project to ensure documentation is submitted according to schedule.
*Adhere to all health and safety rules and company policies.
*Ensure compliance with all quality policies as well as quality control in all phases of the project
*Schedule, coordinate and supervise construction works and commissioning of the project.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

-Internal: Able to think analytically and laterally.
- External: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering. Advanced degrees, such as an MBA, are becoming more common. Wind energy project managers must have excellent attention to detail and be good at time and resource management
Minimum Experience: 7-12 Years of proven experience with graduate level work emphasizing experience in Technical, construction management, particularly wind plant construction, is vital for Project Managers.

Generic Skills:
*Good engineering, people management and verbal and written communication skills.
*Energetic committed person who can work in a flexible way to achieve goals.
*Good Level of Computer Literacy - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and AutoCad.
*Previous experience of project management and leading multi-disciplinary teams preferably in a renewable energy environment
*Proven understanding of grid connection process for renewable projects including contestable works delivery.

COMPETENCIES:
*Communicate with Project Sponsors, Financial Advisors and Legal Advisors
*Manage the tender and contract negotiation process for both the Wind Turbine Supply Agreement and the Wind Turbine Operations and Maintenance Agreement.
*Manage the tender and contract negotiation process for Balance of Plant Civil and Electrical Contracts and make recommendation to the client.
*Prepare the project delivery plan including programme and Capex/Opex budget.
*Ensure that all works are delivered to the highest standard of safety including where relevant the discharging of statutory safety roles on behalf of the client.
*Be familiar with local laws, codes and the statutory requirements and permits.
*Liaise with TSO/DSO with regard to the grid connection process.
*Manage specialist external consultants to support the project as required.
*Manage design and construction interfaces between Civil, Electrical and Turbine Contracts.
*Monitor all important stages of construction activity and ensure works are carried out to the required quality standard.
*Manage the project programme to ensure the works are progressed on schedule and project milestones are achieved.
*Should be able to accomplish the Contract Finalization including the discussions with Various contractors/suppliers, and satisfactorily respond to the queries raised by Lenders /LTA etc.
