General Manager needed for the Australian arm of an international developer. Currently over $1billion of development in construction, 3 main projects are large residential & mixed use sites. Business currently at 20 staff - not looking to grow further to the earlier part of next year.
As the General Manager you will be responsible for the following:
Overall operations of the Australian business
Mitigating risks, including monitoring legislative and regulatory actions, and assessing the effects on site acquisition and project completion.
Advising the directors around key opportunities and threats with including the identification of new developments.
Maximizing the financial return on capital employed, reducing development costs and ensuring high utilisation of the property portfolio.
To be considered for the General Manager you will require the following:
Bilingual in English and Mandarin
Experience in the Australian development market for the last 10+ years, preferable with overseas experience also
A hands-on approach combined with strong negotiation skills with a reputation for being a pragmatic, resilient and performance-based leader.
Significant & relevant experience in the property development space including demonstrated effective leadership of multi- functional work groups and cross-departmental organisations.
Property expertise including acquisition, disposition, relocation, condemnation, valuation, mapping and survey of land and land rights.
Strong relationships with councils and relevant third parties
