The job objective is to Manage the initiation, concept design, FEED, contracting and execution of assigned asset infrastructure related projects
Ensure that the projects meet predefined objectives and quality, cost and time requirements.
Ensure leading practices and standards and guidelines are adhered to during the life cycle of the project.
Coordinate and collaborate with business lines and subsidiaries to ensure smooth execution of the projects and oversee the work of external consultants/ vendors on an ongoing basis.
Manage Scope, Organisation, Quality, Cost and Time for the clients capital project portfolio
Plan, Schedule, Manage and Control the clients capital project portfolio
Manage the initiation and design of capital projects across the clients assets in consultation with the Asset Managers.
Develop contracting strategies and contribute to contract design that will optimize the development and execution Work closely with partners and government stakeholder in line with the applicable governance documents and contracts

Establish the project organisation, define roles and responsibilities and manage the activities and work performed by direct reports to ensure that it is carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in line with the annual business plans, and HR policies and procedures.

Recommend training and development interventions for team members to build their capabilities.
Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of employees where applicable and maximize their effective performance.
Supervise the contractor performance and build good working relationships with key stakeholders.
Develop overview of contractor's personnel's strength and weaknesses and intervene as wen when required exercising contractual rights.
Contribute to clients CSR strategy development and execution
Prepare and recommend project budgets and monitor financial performance versus the budgets so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon
Set-up and monitor ongoing operations of facility related projects through reporting, analysis and identifying variances from the project plans.
Monitor and report on project progress and budgets to assigned steering committees as per the agreed timelines and reporting formats.
Inform project team and senior management of reaching important project milestones and develop and share case studies based on project lessons learnt in order to support knowledge sharing within Kuwait Energy.
Oversee the work of external consultants/ vendors on an ongoing basis and throughout the life cycle of the projects in order to ensure that the clients optimizes external support and generates a high return on investment from service providers.
Assist in identifying the list of external service providers eligible to provide the relevant services and work with the Procurement department to issue RFP/tender as per the client's policy.
Assist in conducting technical and financial analysis of the proposals submitted by the service providers along with the relevant departments.
Lead due diligence for selected contractors prior to award
Lead contractor onboarding sessions and manage contract startup
Contract holder for major EPC and other construction contracts
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Project Management policies, systems, processes and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement, to support an efficient and effective operation.
Ensure compliance with corporate requirements on adherence to policies, procedures and instructions within own area related to all relevant regulatory directives to promote a safe and risk-free environment.

Degree in engineering or equivalent (MSc preferred)
Professional certification or accreditation in project management or proven experience
15 years of post-qualification experience with experience in the oil and gas industry
Work experience in the MENA Region
Demonstrated project management roles of at least two USD 100 million plus capital projects
Mastery in Project Management
Good working knowledge of oil and gas field development planning and uncertainty management
Skilled in Contracts and Procurement
Skilled in Influencing and Conflict Handling
Ability to think laterally and provide creative solutions to deliver projects and give strategic directions
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively
Ability to drive and achieve desired results within the defined time duration
