The role represents a great opportunity for a leading mechanical engineer to secure their next permanent role working for an internationally recognised mining operator. You will be based on site in Launceston, Tasmania playing a key role in delivering support for the Energy Recovery Unit Power Generation Plant to maximise the efficiency and output in a safe and cost effective manner. As part of the Plant Reliability Engineering team, you will play a key part in production optimisation, by applying reliability engineering principles to equipment performance and solutions to equipment based problems through failure and root cause analysis techniques. Your use of initiative and a desire to continuously improve business performance will be utilised in a dynamic team environment.
You will also be analysing and providing data to the operations to ensure that life cycle costs and performance are optimised. Ideally you will demonstrate past expertise in Babcock Boilers and Siemens Turbines. To be considered, a minimum of 3 years’ experience will be demonstrated and a degree in mechanical engineering. This experience will include a sound knowledge of SAP as well as current boiler and turbine operator certificate. You will be self-motivated with a desire to learn new skills, have a sound track record in pro-active problem solving, and be able to communicate at all levels. This is a permanent role and relocation assistance will be offered for the right candidate to move to Launceston for this role.
