Reporting to: DMMG Local Sales Unit Manager (LSU)
Mission Statement
• Responsible for IEC/NEMA Low Voltage Induction Motors Front End Sales to Customers with technical support for pre-sales. Responsible to call on and develop relationships with End Users, OEM's and Authorised Value Providers.
Main Accountabilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide technical support on all LV motors and generator products.
2. Responsible for putting together proposals for all projects requiring LV motor products
3. Be able to interchange competitive products to the company's DMMG products with well-grounded sales arguments and appreciation of the unique value propositions and value added selling.
4. Assist customers in selections of products using our catalogs and selections tools.
5. Market feedback on competitor strategies, business practices and pricing levels.
6. Deliver presentations in front of customers per year promoting the company's DMMG products (including customer tailored presentations, training presentations, presentations to focused vertical industry forums eg pumps, informal and impromptu presentations at the company's Technology Days, exhibitions and for customers visiting the motors facility.
7. Develop strong relationships with existing customers and help develop new direct or indirect (via AVP) customers.
8. Have the ability to perform professional presentations in front of a group of people.
9. Provide Sales support to customers. Be a technical resource for our customers.
10. Manage your time to cover a wide geography.
11. Have specific knowledge and experience with the following products: MV/LV Motors.

Challenges
• You will have to self-manage South and Southern Africa (below equator) territory to maximize your results.
• Work requires regular regional travel and may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of front end sales experience, selling motors in the marketplace. ( LV/MV Induction Motors)
• 2-3 years of day-to-day working experience with SAP.
• Work requires an exceptional high level of technical skills and experience with electrical products in order to provide technical support and quotes to our customer base.
• Work requires an in-depth knowledge the market for mechanical products in ZA.
• Must possess good presentation skills.
Mission of Direct Reporting Functions
• Within the IEC LV Motors Product Group (PG 4133), to act as a Team Leader' to ensure common approach amongst colleagues to achieve the set goals through implementing the developed strategies.
• Attend all Sales and Strategy Meetings as required
• Submit and participate in setting and achieving business targets, forecasts, reviews and budgets
• Interact with customers to provide Pre-sales technical support and Post-sales Technical support
• Interact with Global Support and Product specialists
• Ensure customer satisfaction and professionalism
• Promote DMMG Products
• Ensure the company's mandatory training is up to date eg. Ethics etc.
• Assist Customers in designing solutions using the company's selection tools.
• Provide training to customers on a regular basis.
• Promote products to internal the company's divisions
